For some applications in the control cabinet or electrical switchgear, it is advantageous to protect the feed-through connection with a separate fuse. Fuse terminal blocks with fuse holder for DIN rail consist of a terminal block base and a fuse link carrier for various fuse links for AC and DC fuses.
The fuses vary from hinged fuse holders to plug-in fuse holders, screwable closures to flat plug-in fuses for cars and car mini fuses with and without LED status display. The fuse used limits the rated data (rated current and rated voltage) or the Low Leakage Current - LLC of the fuse terminal block.
The new Klippon® Connect fuse terminal blocks with SNAP IN connection technology ensure optimum passive current protection in combination with disconnect terminal blocks. Their compact dimensions allow flexible installation even in confined spaces. Thanks to SNAP IN connection technology, you can wire your sensors and actuators in the field easily, quickly and safely with a simple "CLICK".
The number of sensors and actuators in the field is growing. More and more potentials have to be wired, fused, or even separated in the control cabinet. One example is servomotors with the potentials plus, minus, or PE. They require clear wiring, including fused potential.
The new two-tier terminals of the A2T 4 FS and A2T 4 DT series combine up to three functions per terminal. For example, you can choose between "Disconnect, feed through, PE" or "Fuse, feed through, PE" Sensors and actuators can be wired conveniently and clearly on just one terminal block. The potentials can be fused or also disconnected. Cross-connection channels on each level ensure safe potential distribution on the terminal strip.
Automation in the process industry requires flexible solutions for complex production processes. Your circuit diagrams are no less complex and often undergo changes shortly before the end. With our new range of DCS marshalling terminal blocks you can solve these challenges. Even a „last minute change“ is feasible for you without having to change the wiring you have already done.
Thanks to the single and double-level arrangement of the terminal blocks, combined with the provision of the four basic functions (continuity, disconnect, fuse, ground), you achieve maximum flexibility when connecting your devices wired in the field. We also offer you an alternative to connecting the shield to PE for your potential-free shielding concepts.
The LED circuits of the fuse terminal blocks (Blown Fuse Indication - BFI) are connected in parallel with the fuse, so that current only flows through the indicator when the fuse blows. In Weidmüller‘s BFI circuits, the following current flows a minimum leakage current (Low Leakage Current - LLC) of less than 500μA - not enough to pose a safety hazard or to erroneously activate the digital inputs of PLCs or DCSs.
The W-series terminals with screw connection, Z-series terminals with tension clamp connection and A-series terminals with PUSH IN connection have integrated fuse holders with BFI (Blown Fuse Indication) circuit and LLC (Low Leakage Current less than 0.5 mA) in case of fault. The rated data of the fuse terminal and the exact leakage current or low leakage current are limited by the fuse or voltage variant of the fuse terminal block.
On the website Engineering Data you will find an extensive selection of downloads related to CAT data. For the quick integration of our products into your design, a wide range of digital product data is available for engineering systems such as EPLAN (EPLAN Electric P8 and EPLAN Pro Panel), Zuken E3.series, WSCAD and many others. These data allow a precise representation of fuse terminal blocks such as a 2-wire fuse terminal or fuse terminals with hinged fuse holder for fine 5x20 fuses and show all relevant electrotechnical and operational characteristics.
